MIRAGE CUSTOM
The Mirage Custom is our top-of-the-line Semi Hollow Electric guitar. It was designed to be elegant, but it is not a wall hanger. It is simple and yet surprisingly versatile. It is light weight and easy to play. You may be able to find a more expensive guitar but you will be hard pressed to find a better one.
NECK: The Mirage Custom comes standard with a figured maple neck and a bound rosewood fingerboard. The binding is 3/32 rosewood with a maple veneer. The front of the headstock is laminated with a black and figured maple veneer for added strength then finished to match the body. Standard Mother of Pearl Inlayed position markers on the 5th, 12th, and 19th frets complete the neck. A 25 ½’ scale length is used with a 1 11/16’width at the nut and .800 thick at the first fret and .850 at the 12th fret. 12’ to 16’ compound radius and Dunlop 6150 frets. BODY: The body starts with a chambered 1-½ thick piece of African mahogany. A ¾’ piece of figured or Quilted maple is than laminated to the top. The back has carved out areas for maximum comfort and playability.
FINISH OPTIONS: You can choose from a Hawaiian Sunburst, Tobacco Sunburst, Trans Fire Red, and Vintage Amber finish that is further enhanced with faux binding. The back and sides are finished in a reddish-brown tint. Other colors may be custom ordered, prices may very
HARDWEAR: Chrome Gotoh tuners, Tune O Matic bridge with a stop tailpiece, an Aluminum headstock bracket and, Dunlop dual design strap lock strap buttons are all standard on the Mirage Custom.
ELECTRONICS: The Custom has two humbucking pickups with chrome covers. A Seymour Duncan 59 is in the neck position that sparkles with upper midrange harmonics and grit. and a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge for a full sweet sound that has a low midrange growl. A Volume for each pickup, a Master Tone and 3-position switch complete the Mirage Custom.
OPTIONS: Ebony fingerboard with ebony binding. Choice of the above-mentioned colors. Each pickup can be coil taped using a pull/push switch on the volume pots at an additional cost.
